@7am saw the blur of a hummingbird nectaring on Tithonia aka Mexican Sunflower, variety "Torch." @7pm perhaps the same bird was startled by me as I came out the front door. It flew across my patio, and landed in a neighbor's Crepe Myrtle tree. I suspect it was waiting for me to go back inside before it came back to nectar. The Tithonias grow right next to the front patio edge. It was way too fast to determine gender or age.
