Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 08/25/2018

Number: 1

Observations on and off as glanced out the Kitchen window to front yard: @10:56am saw the blur of a hummingbird with large white tail spots nectaring on Tithonia aka Mexican Sunflower, variety "Torch." @11:10 am perhaps the same bird, [clear throat with white tail spots] was seen resting on the Lemon Queen Sunflower, then saw me through the kitchen window and flew off. @1:05 pm perhaps the same bird [fan tail, white tail spots, could not see throat] was seen nectaring on Tithonia and "Lady in Red" Salvia. @7:16 pm perhaps same bird [with white tail spots] seen nectaring on Tithonia, paused, then perched on the Lemon Queen Sunflower's stalk and nectared on the closest Tithonia bloom. It looked like she seated herself at an orange "table for one." Wish I could take a photo, they are just too fast.
