Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/26/2018

Number: 1

This is a 2nd report for this day. Late afternoon a new hummer appeared at our feeder. He/she was slightly larger and plumper than the ones we had seen all summer. The odd thing about this sighting is the hummber could not figure out how to feed from the feeder. He/she kept going underneath the feeder (feeder has a clear bottom) then would fly up to the red overhang and then fly underneath it again and finally fly away only to return and do the same thing. This went on for at least an hour. Then we didn't see him anymore.
