Spotted an adult female with white feathers around the base of her beak nectaring from mandevilla and streptocarpella flowers on my deck. I have no way to prove that this is the same bird,but an adult female with the same markings has been showing up here late in the summer since 2011. Every year this bird prefers the flowers on my deck to the feeder,so it seems she could very be the same female.
