Our heaviest days were 8-18-18 through 8-21-18 with a frenzy of dozens of hummingbirds at our feeders, ruby throats, black chins, Anna's. We surmise that this was the beginning of the birds heading south out of the higher elevations of the mountains. We normally have at most six or so through the season. On 8-30-18 we noted just two Anna's females and two male black chins.
