King (adult male ruby throated hummingbird) still rules the roost from his usual perch on the Live oak in the back yard. Other hummingbirds come by from time to time and may get chased off by King, but he is nowhere near as fierce as earlier in the season. A female ruby throat is tolerated and even welcome, using the same perch as King when he is not present, or occupying a different part of the tree or the other Live oak when he is present. Passersby are also welcome to use the feeders in the front yard.
