We expect see an increase in migrating hummingbirds shortly. In the meantime, at least one additional male has been at our feeder, which has been attended by a pair of ruby-throats that summered over near our home.

Two days ago, in addition to "guarding" the feeder to prevent other hummers from feeding at it, two males got into aerial combat and then crashed together on the ground and continued to grapple with each other for 15 to 20 seconds.
