We usually see a bald eagle every time we go boating on the lake during the summer, but sightings have been rare this year and the one nest we're aware of never appeared to be in use. In several of the past 8 summers we have seen a mating pair and a chick or a juvenile. This may be only the second or third time we've seen an eagle this summer; it was an adult, flying over the lake.
