I spotted my first in the wild caterpillar in a J ready to make a chrysalis today, another 5th instar and a third instar that I brought inside as the swamp milk weed it was on had no more leaves. There have been many caterpillars and eggs in the past two weeks, but I was out of town and then sick for a week so I have not been reporting in a while. The swamp and the tropical milkweed have been the most popular choices this year and many of my plants of these varieties have been eaten way back.
