Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 09/02/2018

Number: 3

Very wet today, but saw some early Monarchs in the morning laying eggs and getting nectar. One emerged rom chrysalis in the milkweed and got blown off while drying his wings out by the blustery winds. I noticed him crawling on the grass so went and picked him up and put him on protective netting to finish drying. He hasn't left yet as it keeps raining on and off so will keep an eye on him. His wings look good so he should be able to fly later.
