I am excited by the fact that I have more caterpillars on my milkweed than ever but I am very disturbed by the fact that I am also witnessing caterpillars dying at different stages of development. I have pictures they are turning black or crawling away and dying. I do not and have never used any type of pesticide on my plants. I dont know if it is just a statistical thing that having so many larva means I will also see so many NOT live for natural causes. I was wondering if any knows. It has been beastly hot here in MD.
