Hummingbird Sighting (Adult Male)

Date: 09/03/2018

Number: 2

Joined the habitat this afternoon, around 5 PM. I think the males are migrating guests. There's a large population of resident females and juvies in our habitat; and we haven't seen any males for several days. There are red flags and big red ribbons flying from 8 foot poles in the habitat to alert migrating birds they are welcome. 17 active feeders, and masses of flowers available. The two males have been focusing on the feeders, whereas resident females and juvies are spending a great deal of time playing, in addition to using feeders and nectaring from flowers. Everyone looks healthy, vibrant, vital, so hopefully they'll have a safe journey south.
