Not sure about numbers, safe to say several. This was along a long chain link fence that forms the eastern border of a community college. 100 yards on the other side of the fence is an interstate. Fence is covered with Bluevine milkweed. I didn’t see any egg laying or find any eggs. I saw some large caterpillars.
