Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 09/04/2018

Number: 11

My area is in peak migration after a week of build up. I had lots of Monarchs come today, many more than usual even though we had very heavy downpours during the day, to fill up on the lantana, sapphire showers bush, and milkweed blooms. One female laid eggs. I found a very worn, old, battered male nectaring on the lantana and got a picture of him. He was missing most of one wing but was as agile and able to fly around with ease.
