This is the first time they have stopped here in the 10 years we have lived here on five acres just outside the village line outside if Thedford in the Sandhills of northern Nebraska.

I have a garden full of flowers and there were none up there. The monarchs just clustered in little groups on the cedars, hackberries, elms and ash trees in our yard.

This was the first time we saw monarchs here all summer.
