Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 09/06/2018

Number: 2

Hummingbirds were feeding from gladiolus, a wild variety of butterfly bush that came from PA, and a feeder that we put out. They first came to feeder at 6.30 a.m. which was empty so we soaked it. As it soaked hummingbirds moved to flowers. It's been a particularly warm week so the morning was already warm and humid. Once feeder was full and replaced the pair fed at the feeder, as well. Chasing one another away in between feedings. It is now noon and they are still around, we have continued to see them throughout the morning/early noon.
