One of the cocoons I reported has died. It had a tachinid fly in it. And I found a dead monarch with one wing curled and the other wing did not seem dried. I am not sure if it had emerged and then gotten stuck in a spider web or if it had a disease too. It was in a web. I rescued it, but it was not even crawling, hanging on its own, or responding.
Both of these were euthanized in the freezer.
