Monarch Waystation #271 reports being a certified Waystation since 2005 with 6 other habitat certifications or recerts. Nectar plants in bloom on this date [front or back yard] = Rudbeckia hirta, Asclepia tuberosa, Coreopsis tinctoria & C. grandiflora [both fading], Veronicastrum virginicum, Vernonia glauca, Lantana, Asclepias curassavica, Portulaca, Salvia coccinea "Lady in Red," Helianthus annum "Lemon Queen," Tithonia rotundifolia "Torch," Orange Profusion Zinnia, Ruellia humilis, Sisyrinchium angustifolium, Trifolium pratense, a white Trifolium, Verbena canadensis. More plants bloom in spring; an aster and goldenrod will bloom later this year. Monarch host plants: Asclepias tuberosa, A. curassavica, A. incarnata, A. purpurascens, A. syriaca
