Beautiful fresh milkweed on the hillside that leads up to railroad tracks at Somerset and Seltzer in Port Richmond. A female monarch was flitting around-- probably laying eggs. I stopped counting at 30. Many of the leaves had small holes but I didn't find any live larvae. I found a few small dried-up specimens that I think might have been the remains of larvae overcome by the mid-90 degree heat this week.
