I went to explore Runnymeade Park in Herndon, VA this afternoon to see if it might be a good place to take my dogs on a walk. Since I did not have any dogs with me, I walked around the flower beds nearby the start of a trail. I came across this beautiful Monarch Caterpillar on a plant (I'm not sure if the plant is milkweed). I did not see any other Monarch Caterpillars or any butterflies during my walk about.
