Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 09/05/2018

Number: 1

A monarch butterfly has been laying eggs in my garden for about two weeks (at least I only see one at a time). So far I have spotted several live and, sadly, two dead caterpillars, and 4 in chrysalis attached to my deck, one of which has hatched. I'm sure there are more than that, because I have quite a bit of milkweed, with ample evidence of feeding on the leaves.
