This was one of three pupae that were in my yard. One is still in its chrysalis state, one is unfortunately dead inside the chrysalis and this one came out at 8PM last night, flew to the aster bush, fluffed up its wings this morning and took flight.Scary night because we went from 86 degrees on Wednesday to 69 degrees yesterday but the butterfly flew.
