Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/07/2018

Number: 1

At 1:19PM, while sitting by living room window, the adult female came to the window and hovered for a good 8-10sec.
This was her "good bye" to me.
(This is how the male, in the Spring, lets me know he has returned. Always the same window, and always the hover for many seconds.)
I am so sad right now - kind of bittersweet. She looked healthy and strong.
I know when either the adult male or female will be leaving, within a few days, because they will "fan" their tail to me, while I talk to them.
This adult female as "fanned" me twice, in the last 4 days.
The only hummer I have left, is the sweet juvenile female. I do hope when it's time to migrate she will join up with others and not be alone.
