Tawas Point, near Tawas, MI .. hard to quantify them, really. Probably at least 200, likely more. The photo is the largest clump of them; there were other large groups in other nearby trees. The night before, there had been a strong thunderstorm, high winds, etc. I was there mid-morning. They were near the Point. I assumed they were resting up, after the storm, and before moving on. Am not sure how long they stayed. I was at the Point again Sept 6th - very few Monarchs there.
