Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 09/06/2018

Number: 3

This past spring I planted 1 raspberry salvia plant and 4 black and blue salvias that I started from cuttings. They have been blooming nicely here in south western Connecticut since late July. Between 5 to 10 of my hummers (mostly fledglings) would feed on them, but seemed to prefer the raspberry salvia. I also have several red salvia, but they showed no interest there. Just purchased 2 bee-balm (monarch) which I am planting now for next summer bloom.
