Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/10/2018

Number: 12

Some juvenile ruby throats showed up today pushing the total at our yard to 12 or more hummers. Incredibly fun to watch the high spiral duels, all of the zipping around and territorial fights at the nectar feeders. They still nectar from the salvias but like to perch in them now. Hummers are drinking more nectar from our feeders than any other year. Quitting time tonite was 7:48 pm. Going to miss the little critters when the last one leaves for the year.
