We saw 8 adult monarchs flying around our yard today at 9:30am for 30 minutes.
They were primarily nectaring on eastern blazing star.

We managed to net, tag and release 3; 2 females and 1 male. The females looked in good shape, but the male's wings were somewhat ragged.
