Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/11/2018

Number: 6

observation times were from 7:30pm until last feeder visitation at 8:05pm. Daily high temperature was around 74 degrees, 61% humidity, sunny with occasional cloud cover and slight breeze most of the day. Observation time temperature was 71 degrees and calm with expected low temperatures over night of 52 degrees. All hummers observed were adult females. One hummer dominated the area but appears to be a different one than the prior days dominating females. Likewise, the long necked juvenile observed the prior few days made no appearance in the evening, but was seen in the afternoon drinking long and hard at a window feeder where upon completion did a little up/down, left/right window dance before zipping off southward. I've seen this window dance before during migration time and each time that was the last time I seen that particular hummer for the season. Coincidence or "thank you and goodbye? Hmmmmmm ....
