Although we had several hours of heavy rain, at times, throughout the day, I caught movement, out the window, at 3PM, at the feeder, that hangs from the mountain ash branch.
It was a young female, but I dare say she isn't the one from here. She flew into blue rose of sharon shrub when I came outdoors, and talked to her.
I ran inside and made fresh sugar water, and changed both feeders, that had a great deal of water on toop and probably inside the ports.
I haven't seen her back to feed, but I'm watching, and will call every 1/2 hr. until sunset.
Perhaps she has migrated from New Hampshire or Massachusetts.
