Day 2 - September 9, 2018
We saw them first around 3:00 pm Saturday, Sept 8 (1,000 butterflies). Sept 9 there were 500. The temps were in the low 60’s each night and it was fairly windy. The monarchs were somewhat protected. There is a large row of thick trees on the North and they were on those trees and on trees inside the row of wind break trees. No nectar source that we know of for miles- maybe 5 miles away (to the north). They were visible for about 4 - 5 days. They were first noticed on September 8th and are still here Sept. 12.
