I observed a Monarch butterfly for a short while as it fluttered about over the ramp here at the University Park Airport, at one point flying back along the left side of a just-landed Embraer ERJ145 jet.  It managed to stay far enough away to avoid getting sucked into engine, but it did get a substantial shove as it entered the exhaust blast behind the plane.  I guess after that brief encounter, it "decided" to leave the area.  It climed up and then flew over the airport terminal heading northwest into the wind.
