Six monarch chrysalises in our yard on 10 Sept. Two monarchs have emerged, but one that emerged on 12 Sept. had a wing that crinkled (even though there was plenty of space for it hanging from the chrysalis) and it can't fly, won't eat fruit or honey water offered to it, and it's dying. The other seemed healthy and flew off. Four more chrysalises still to open, none dark yet but I can see wings through two of them.
