We've had constant hummingbird activity at 3 feeding zones around our house that are fairly well shielded from view of each other. As many as five birds can be seen at once in the "best" zone, but the thee two areas each have at least one defender and intruder.

They buzz past us within inches as they chase each other off the feeders and flowers.
