Sightings report image

Date: 09/16/2018

Number: 9

Observation time 8am to 9am. Temperature at the time was 67 degrees coming off an overnight low of 65 degrees. Humidity was 100% with cloudy overcast and slight breeze of 3mph out of the East. Nine verifiable individual hummers were observed, consisting of two juvenile males whom continue to dominate the feeders and seven adult females. Occasionally, hummers are nectaring on the Red Heart and other red variety of Rose-of-Sharon. Hummer traffic at feeders decreased after 9am. Our area still has an abundance of small insects and tiny spiders due to continuing 10 degree above normal warm temperatures.
