Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/13/2018

Number: 1

feeding from sugar/water hb feeder. I have 2 that are still up and refreshed regularly. Both are showing signs of consumption but I'm not sure why. One was surrounded by wasps/hornets? The other only had Asian Lady Beetles. But for sure I saw a humming bird feeding from one of them - too far to see if male or female without binoculars due to my Doberman with high prey drive. Feeders are on top and outside 6 foot chain link fence because of that. Because of summer heat, both feeders refreshed every 3 days. One feeder in particular was well-used but not visible from house (I am housebound) - now down to 5/6 days. Will keep them up and fresh until no sign of birds. I do believe they are still coming through but at a slower rate.
