Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/18/2018

Number: 10

The fall migration fun continues. 10 very hungry RTHB's are voraciously feeding from annual salvias, firecrackers and nectar feeders. Have 2 females that are exceedingly plump. They are chubbiest I have ever seen. An immature male is noticeably putting on weight. I suppose with a couple hummers leaving yesterday and the birds being so plump is a sign that the migration is winding down here.
Very surprised so many were still here this evening with front changing wind out of the north. Enjoying the viewing while it lasts. Oakdale Mn.
