I have a small patch of common milk weed in the back yard, about 7 plants or so and smaller young pups, I counted aout 27 chrysalises, 2 of them popped into 2 beautiful monarch butterflies,hopefully on the way to Mexico now. I still have 6 more caterpillars in various stages.
Besides the monarch butterflies i also counted 17 black swallow tail caterpillars on my dill patch, dedicated to the black swallow tail butterflies. It has been a very successful year for me.
