Observed along the railroad. A few were west of town a mile or so and the majority were 2 miles east of town. Some nectaring but most were flying west in a straight line.

I saw a total of 64 monarchs during the run time from Muncie to Marion. It was 5 1/2 hours and 130 miles by train.
