Found a lone Monarch on the white butterfly bush in the front garden while heading out. As many as 5+ hours later, it was still there! Took some photos in the near-dark with my flash, and hence the blue-green iridescence in the black edging of the upper wings. I wonder if this how Monarchs see one another, in a much more colorful fashion?
