Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/20/2018

Number: 7

A mix of 7 female and immature male RTHB's are really putting on weight. One female is extraordinarily plump. Even on a very rainy and heavy overcast day they were really tanking up at the nectar feeders. I'm glad I put out fresh nectar yesterday. But they are visiting the annual salvias and firecracker flowers regularly. Very amusing to watch one at a feeder port and one perching on the hook right above the other hummer. Heavy rain didn't allow to see when the hummers went to roost for the night. Oakdale MN.
