Caught sight of a large beauty flying past the window. Went out to check on the chrysalis I was observing changing colour, and sure enough, it was gone. By this time, the monarch had flown to the top of a balsam fir and was perched on the tip of a branch. How marvelous! Safe travels my beauty!
