I had come across a chrysalis last week and then on Monday at 8:15 a.m., I watched it emerge. I've seen them before, but it never gets old watching that miraculous event--it was a female. I also noticed toward the back of my property, that there were several (around 100) others flying about--I don't know if they were just in transit, or if they were new. I'm guessing they might have been newly emerged, since it was the same time of day that my "little girl" was born.
