Not as busy today with the Monarchs. A few rain storms came through. I noticed that most of my milkweed was stripped bare so went out to see if I could spot any caterpillars and Boy, did I! I have chrysalises hanging all over the window sills of the house and all over the fence line. I counted 50 caterpillars straight away without having to look hard, almost all of them in 5th instar. No wonder my milkweed has been dwindling away - all those hungry mouths!
