Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/21/2018

Number: 9

9 ruby throated hummers really hammered the nectar feeders today. These and other hummers we have seen during migration are very plump and look in very good condition to continue their journey south. A couple newcomers apparently arrived today. For a little while very little feeding took place. I think this was due to the sun coming out and the hummers perched in trees to warm up as temperatures were only in the high fifties. Quitting time this evening was 7:28 p.m. Oakdale MN.
