Parked at State Capitol to eat lunch and immediately saw two Monarchs fly in front of me over the edge of the Capitol grounds along SW Harrison St. but they did not stop. Counted 8 Monarchs flying in the same southerly direction toward 10th Ave. and beyond during the time I was there, 3:20-3:40 p.m. Six more were a few blocks west at 1515 SW 10th Ave. about 5 minutes later (separate report). Appears to be good weather conditions for migration.
