Sept 22nd 2018 Evening
At The Tip Point Pelee National Park
A high of 15°c/60f Winds from the ENE @ 13kmh. All day the sun barely peeked out just a few times from the clouds.
108 Monarchs counted.
It was exciting watching them 3 & 4 at a time high up (100-150') arrive from the north on the west & east sides & above the trees. A few flitted along west path but most flitted to interior trees.
At sunset located a cluster of 3 or 4 located way high up in a Hackberry Tree located just north of the Tip Shuttle stop. The cluster was on the NE side of the tree; no way to view more of that side of the tree.
A-Mazing sunset & along west path we were visited by a young Racoon :)
Upon leaving the Park, at a cottage outside the Park, a roost of about 50 was located in a maple tree thanks to my friend Laura who had earlier upon arriving at the Park noticed the activity. Photo is seen at the end
of the video.
