Wow! We looked up a few towns near us an learned that a town 10 miles north has one more minute of daylight, and a town 20 miles west of us has the SAME daylight, but sunrise and sunset were both one minute later.
Our wondering is why is equinox the same date and time for everyone, even though the date when we experience equal daylight and equal night time is actually 5 days later?
Maybe it depends where the sun rises and sets, and not how much daylight we have?
