How odd that on 9-21 my twin sister and I released 21 monarchs at our favorite park. I didn't want to hold them for 72 hrs. but had to because of rain (6" over 3-4 days). Even their day of release wasn't the best. At home, I tried to make their transition from inside to outside as natural as possible. Yet very active at home changed to "I don't want to go" at the park so we left them on low trees/shrubs out of the wind in various spots in the park.
