Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 09/23/2018

Number: 4

Females and juveniles are still visiting our garden and especially the feeders we have out. We’re working hard to keep them spaces out well enough and full of fresh nectar so that all can feed. Seeing some juvenile males among the group still calling Delaware, Ohio home. Many are as round as they are long so they’re near ready to migrate. The weather is turning cooler and we’re getting more rain so the need to move along soon. We’ keep feeding until they do. Found out that they definitely prefer cane sugar and it stays fresher longer. They’re worth whatever extra that might cost.
