It was a three hour hike, sunny,and 73 degrees. When I have seen monarchs migrating here in the fall each year the
ones that are flying and not landing are always going southwest. The direction they are going would go right to
Midewin National Prairie. Maybe
that large prairie is another
stop on a path that goes through Orland Grassland.
